Dear Friends,
What does it mean to be a child of God? Jesus gives us the answer in Matthew 5:45—“In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven.” When we love our enemies, we reflect the very heart of God. He is not a Father who loves selectively. He loves unconditionally, extending grace even to those who reject Him.
Many people think that being a Christian means following a set of rules, attending church, and reading the Bible. While these things are important, the true mark of a child of God is love—especially love for those who do not deserve it. God does not love us because we are worthy; He loves us because it is His nature to love. And He calls us to do the same.
Are you living as a true child of God? Is your love extending beyond those who are easy to love? I encourage you to let the love of Christ overflow from your heart. When we love as He loves, the world takes notice, and His name is glorified.
May the Lord strengthen your faith and use it for His glory, as you walk humbly in His presence.
