Romans 3:26 reveals the balance of God’s justice and mercy. God is perfectly just, meaning that He cannot overlook sin or allow it to go unpunished. Yet, in His mercy, He has provided a way for sinners to be justified. This is not through our works or efforts, but through faith in Jesus Christ.
God’s justice is satisfied in Jesus, who took on the punishment for our sin. His mercy is displayed in the forgiveness and righteousness He extends to us through Jesus. As you reflect today, remember that both God’s justice and mercy are perfectly fulfilled in the cross of Christ. Let this truth fill you with awe and gratitude for the Savior who made it all possible.
Prayer Focus:
Thank God for His perfect justice and mercy. Pray that you would live in the fullness of His forgiveness and reflect His grace to others.
