Dear Brothers and Sisters,
The world teaches us to fight back when wronged, to return insult for insult, and to stand our ground against those who oppose us. But Jesus teaches us something very different. He tells us in Romans 12:21, “Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.”
Loving our enemies does not mean excusing sin or ignoring injustice. It means choosing to respond in a way that honors God. Instead of seeking revenge, we trust in His justice. Instead of speaking words of hatred, we offer words of grace. Instead of repaying evil with evil, we conquer evil with good.
Who in your life do you need to respond to with kindness instead of resentment? Who needs to see the love of Christ in your actions? When we choose to love, we break the cycle of hatred and allow God to work through us. Let us be people who reflect the goodness of God in a world filled with division.
May the Lord strengthen your faith and use it for His glory, as you walk humbly in His presence.
