Bible Study for Wednesday, February 26, 2025 - Bearing God’s Image

Scripture: Genesis 1:27 (NLT)
"So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them."

Lesson:
If the denarius belonged to Caesar because it bore his image, then what does it mean for us, as those who bear God’s image? From the beginning, God created us to reflect His character, His righteousness, and His love. This means that our identity is rooted in Him, not in worldly influences. To bear God’s image is to live in a way that honors Him—not just in words but in action. It also means that we belong to Him; our lives are not our own but are meant to glorify our Creator. Jesus’ words in Mark 12:17 point us to this truth: we must live as those who carry the image of God, fully devoted to Him in every area of life.

Reflection Questions:
  • What does it mean to bear God’s image?
  • How does this truth shape your identity and purpose?
  • How can you reflect God’s character in your actions today?
Prayer Focus:
Ask God to help you live in a way that reflects His image to the world.

Share Your Thoughts:
Write down three ways you can honor God with your life today.
