Dear Friends in Christ,
When Jesus spoke about giving to Caesar and giving to God, He was not only addressing a political question—He was pointing us toward a higher truth. As Paul reminds us in Philippians 3:20, “We are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives.” That means that while we live in this world, we ultimately belong to another kingdom.
It can be easy to get caught up in the affairs of this life—politics, finances, social pressures—but we must never lose sight of where our true citizenship lies. The values of this world are temporary, but the kingdom of God is eternal. We are called to live with our hearts fixed on heavenly things, not just earthly concerns.
So let me ask you—are you living as a citizen of heaven? Are you investing your time, energy, and devotion into things that will last? Or have you become too entangled in the temporary things of this world? Let us fix our eyes on Christ, living each day with the mindset of those who belong to an everlasting kingdom.
In His kingdom,
Brother Jesse
