Bible Study for Tuesday, February 18, 2025 – Overcoming Evil with Good

Opening Scripture: Romans 12:17-21 (NLT)

Study
Paul instructs believers not to repay evil with evil but to overcome evil with good. This teaching aligns with Jesus’ command to love our enemies. Instead of seeking revenge, we are called to show kindness, even to those who mistreat us. This does not mean we allow injustice to persist, but rather that we trust God’s justice and seek reconciliation whenever possible. A Christ-like response to hatred and evil can soften even the hardest hearts.

Reflection Questions
  • How can responding with kindness change a situation of conflict?
  • What does it mean to “leave room for God’s wrath” (Romans 12:19)?
  • How can you apply this passage in your daily life?
Prayer Focus
Ask God for wisdom to respond to opposition in a way that honors Him.
