Opening Scripture:
Romans 3:24 (NLT)
"Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins."
Romans 3:24 (NLT)
"Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins."
Devotional:
Today, we reflect on the grace of God that has been so abundantly poured out upon us. Grace is the undeserved favor of God, a gift that we could never earn, yet one that is freely given through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. In Romans 3:24, we are reminded that it is through Christ’s work on the cross that we are made right with God. This is not by anything we have done, but by God’s mercy and love.
It is easy to forget that grace is a gift, not a reward. We cannot earn our way to God’s favor, but through faith in Jesus Christ, we are granted access to God’s righteousness. As you begin this day, take a moment to reflect on God’s grace in your life. Rejoice in the truth that you are made right with God because of Jesus and His sacrifice for you.
Prayer Focus:
Thank God for His amazing grace. Reflect on the times when His grace has made a difference in your life and express gratitude for His unmerited favor.
