Make a straight highway through the wasteland

Fill in the valleys,

Hark! The Herald Angels Sing

Hark the herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn king"
Peace on earth, and mercy mild
God and sinners reconciled
Joyful all ye nations rise
Join the triumph of the skies
With angelic host proclaim
"Christ is born in Bethlehem"
Hark the herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn king"

God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen

God rest ye merry, gentlemen
Let nothing you dismay
Remember, Christ, our Saviour
Was born on Christmas day
To save us all from Satan's power
When we were gone astray
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy

Joy to the World!

Joy to the World , the Lord is come!
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing.

Oh, Come Let Us Adore Him!

On behalf of our family and ministry, we wish you a most blessed Christmas Day. Let us come and adore him!

Yea, Lord we greet thee
Born this happy morning
Jesus to thee be all glory given
Word of the father
Now in flesh appearing

Gloria in Excelsis Deo

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

“Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”

Christmas Eve - O Holy Night

We encourage everyone to share this message with others.

Christmas Eve - Silent Night Holy

On Christmas Eve in 1818
A blizzard stranded the tiny village of Ogledorf
Nestled in the Austrian mountains
That same day the people of St. Nicholas' church found their organ broken
So the priest and organist began composing a song that could be sung without
An organ yet beautiful enough to express their Christmas joy
All day and all night long they worked
And at midnight the gentle carol Silent Night was born
The pure clear tones echoed through the hills
And the world has been captured by the beauty of that simple song ever since.

Silent Night
Holy Night
All is calm
All is bright
Round yon virgin
Mother and child
Holy infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace

Christmas Eve - We Three Kings

We Three Kings
We three kings of Orient are
Bearing gifts we traverse afar.
Field and fountain, moor and mountain,
Following yonder star.

O star of wonder, star of night,
Star of royal beauty bright,
Westward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to thy perfect light.

Fourth Sunday of Advent - Love (Closing Prayer)

Abba Father, we thank you for the love that You showed us through the birth of Your Son, Christ Jesus. We cannot comprehend the depth of that love. Even as sinners, You loved us enough to give Your Son to us as an atonement for our sins so that we may have eternal life. We can never repay or thank You enough for that gift.

Amen.

Fourth Sunday of Advent - Love (Message)

In today's message, Sr. Chaplain Jesse Johns will be discussing the most important aspect of Christmas, love.

This ministry is possible through the continued prayers of our family of faith and the generous donations we receive. If you would like to donate, please use the "Donate" button on the right side of the webpage.

We encourage everyone to share this message with others so that they can truly begin to understand what love truly means.

Fourth Sunday of Advent - Love (Special Music)

Fourth Sunday of Advent - Love (Prelude)

The Fourth Sunday of Advent is devoted to love. If you look at the word, it is a very simple, four-letter word, but it conveys so much in just those for letters.

There have been more poems, books and stories written and told about this word, but none are sweeter than the message of love and hope that became flesh and dwelt among us.

In John 1:14, John perfectly captures our Heavenly Father's love.

So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.

As we continue through the Fourth Sunday of Advent, let this truth be the central theme for our worship and praise.

Prayers for the Persecuted - Pastor Andrew Brunson

A Christian pastor in Turkey was just imprisoned. He is in danger.

American Pastor Andrew Brunson - a U.S. citizen from North Carolina - has been falsely charged with "membership in an armed terrorist organization." The charging documents state no "evidence has been gathered" against him. He has been a Christian pastor in Turkey for the past 23 years.

Pastor Andrew had been in a detention center since October 7, 2016, but he was just transferred to prison. During his 63-day detainment, he was denied access to his Turkish attorney.

If convicted, Pastor Andrew could face years in prison based on extremely serious - and false - charges.

Keep Pastor Andrew, his wife, Norine, and their three children in your prayers.

Fourth Sunday of Advent - Love (New Testament Reading)

The New Testament reading for the Fourth Sunday of Advent comes from Paul's Epistle to the Galatians.

Prayer Request - Pastor Don Duncan, His Family and Church

It is with a heavy heart that I write this note. Last night, my wife and I found out that Pastor Don Duncan of Calvary Chapel Fellowship in Wichita, Kansas, passed away Wednesday afternoon from complications from his fall. It is my understanding that he passed away on his birthday.

Let us all remember Pastor Duncan, his family and his church in our prayers. Although we grieve, we realize that he has gone on to be with the Father. In Colossians 2:5, Paul talks about being separated by a distance, but being able to be there in spirit.

For though I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit and delight to see how disciplined you are and how firm your faith in Christ is.

Just as Pastor Duncan remained steadfast in his faith, let us strive to do the same and continue his work to share the Good News with all.

Two Christian pastors - Rev. Hassan Abduraheem and Rev. Kuwa Shamal - have been arrested and imprisoned by Sudan's Islamist Security Services on trumped-up national security charges because of their Christian faith.

They are on trial, facing possible death sentences because they are Christians. They could be sentenced to hang for their faith if we, as Christians, remain silent.

Prayers for Healing

My wife, Karla, received a request for prayers of healing for Pastor Don Duncan of Calvary Chapel Fellowship in Wichita, Kansas.

While working in the church, he fell at least 20 feet from scaffolding in the church gym Thursday. Duncan landed on his head, and is still hospitalized in critical condition. He suffered serious brain swelling and trauma.

Please lift him, his family and congregation up in prayer. For additional information about the accident and updates, click here.
