Bible Study for Wednesday, December 4, 2024 – Hope for the Brokenhearted

Opening Scripture
Psalm 34:18 (NIV)
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

Study
Advent reminds us that Christ came to bring hope, not only for the world at large but for individuals who are hurting. In Psalm 34:18, we are comforted with the assurance that God is close to the brokenhearted. This season, we remember that Christ, as the promised Savior, entered into our brokenness to heal and restore us.

Whether we are grieving loss, struggling with pain, or feeling the weight of difficult circumstances, we can find hope in the fact that God is near to us. His presence brings healing to our broken hearts and peace to our troubled spirits.

Reflection Questions
  • How has God been close to you in your moments of brokenness?
  • What do you need from God today to heal your heart?
  • How can you offer hope and comfort to someone who is brokenhearted this season?
Prayer Focus
Pray for those who are brokenhearted and struggling. Ask God to bring His healing presence into their lives, offering them the hope of His restoration.
