Dear Beloved,
As we draw closer to the Christmas celebration, I want to remind you of the great joy that comes from giving. Acts 20:35 tells us that “it is more blessed to give than to receive,” and this is a truth that we can hold onto throughout the Advent season. Giving brings joy, not just to those who receive, but to the giver as well. When we give of ourselves—our time, our resources, and our love—we reflect the heart of God, who gave the ultimate gift in His Son, Jesus Christ.
In this season of Advent, let us embrace the joy of giving. Not only giving material gifts, but also giving of our hearts, our time, and our service. When we give freely and joyfully, we participate in the very spirit of Christmas—the spirit of God’s generous love toward us.
I encourage you today to find joy in giving, whether it be to those you love or to those in need. Let your giving reflect the joy and love that Christ has so freely given to us.
May your heart be filled with joy as you give this season.
