From the Heart for Brother Jesse - Monday, December 2, 2024 – Hope Shines in the Darkness

In Isaiah 9:2, we are reminded that "the people walking in darkness have seen a great light." As we begin this week, let us remember that the promise of Christ is not just for a distant future but a present reality. In times of personal darkness or uncertainty, we are called to hold onto the hope that Christ’s light can and does shine into every shadowed corner of our lives.

As we journey through Advent, we recognize that hope doesn’t always come with the absence of challenges or difficulties. Sometimes, it comes in the midst of the darkness, like a flicker of light that slowly brightens our path. This week, let the light of Christ shine in your heart and your life. No matter how heavy the darkness feels, Christ’s light is already breaking through.

Reflection: What are some areas of darkness in your life that you need Christ’s light to shine upon today?
