Letter from the Pastor: Thursday, May 30, 2024 - Embracing Responsibility and Service

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

As we journey through this week, I want to take a moment to reiterate an important aspect of our Sunday message: embracing our responsibility to serve others. The sacrifices made by our servicemen and women call us to a higher standard of living, one that prioritizes service and compassion.

In Romans 12:1, Paul urges us, "And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him" (NLT). This call to present ourselves as living sacrifices is a profound reminder of our duty to serve God and others with our whole lives.

Embracing responsibility means looking for opportunities to serve in our communities, our churches, and our families. It means being attentive to the needs of those around us and responding with love and action. When we live in this way, we honor the sacrifices of those who have given their lives for our freedom and we reflect the love of Christ.

Let us be intentional in our actions, striving to be a source of light and hope in a world that so desperately needs it. Together, we can make a difference, one act of service at a time.

May the Lord empower you to live a life of service and compassion.

In Christ's service,
