Letter from the Pastor: Monday, May 27, 2024 - Honoring the Fallen

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

As we gather today on this solemn Memorial Day, our hearts are filled with both gratitude and reverence. This day is set aside to honor the brave men and women who have given their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifices have secured the freedoms we often take for granted, and it is our duty to remember and honor them.

In John 15:13, we are reminded, "There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends" (NLT). The sacrifices made by our fallen heroes reflect this profound truth. They have demonstrated the highest form of love by giving their lives for the freedom and safety of others.

As we reflect on their bravery, let us also be inspired to live lives that are worthy of their sacrifices. Galatians 5:13 calls us to use our freedom to serve one another in love. Today, let us commit to acts of service and compassion, honoring the legacy of those who have laid down their lives.

On this Memorial Day, let us also remember the families who have lost loved ones in service. May we offer them our support, prayers, and gratitude. Let us ensure that the memory of the fallen is kept alive through our actions and commitments.

May the Lord bless you and keep you as we honor those who have given everything for our freedom.

In Christ's service,
Brother Jesse
