It is through that amazing grace of God that saves, sustains and strengthens us daily. When we realize the awesome power of that grace, we are humbled by it. We realize that our chains are gone and that our freedom from sin and death was purchased by a man who humbled himself in obedience to God and suffered a criminal's death on a cross.

8 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.
