Sunday Message - Opening Prayer

Over the past couple of weeks, my wife, Karla, and I have had to make a lot of difficult decisions in our lives. As we considered each one of them, we were always in prayer and asked God for wisdom and the grace to help us through these troubling times.

I know that each of you reading this maybe facing similar difficult situations and decisions that may cause you to question your faith and wonder if God is even listening. I can assure you that He is always there for the righteous and is listening. God loves and cares for His children and will not allow harm to come to them. We can rest upon that promise.

As we begin today's worship and praise for our Heavenly Father, let us remember those words that Jesus taught us to pray.

Our Father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth,
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive them that trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
The power, and the glory,
For ever and ever.
Amen.
