A Moment of Prayer and Reflection

When I began our ministry at Lakeline Oaks Retirement Community, we did not end our service with an alter call. We had a moment of "Prayer and Reflection". I would often say that it was the most important part of our praise and worship service. It was a moment when all would bow their heads in silent prayer and have a little talk with the Lord.

So often in our lives, we forget to have those little moments with Him. Just like the old spiritual, "Just a Little Talk with Jesus", we need to find that time to talk with Our Heavenly Father and lift up our problems to Him. The Father will definitely hear our prayers and He will rescue us from our problems.

Right now, I am going through one of the most difficult times in my life. I have never experienced anything like this before, but I know, in my heart and soul, that the Father has a plan for us and we will continue to serve Him. No matter what happens in life, I will remain faithful to Him and continue to love Him.

So, each morning, noon and evening I spend that moment of prayer and reflection with our Father. When you face situations that are overwhelming, spend the time in prayer and reflection. Take that moment to "stand firm in His grace".
