From the Heart of Brother Jesse – Thursday, January 30, 2025 – Loving Our Enemies

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Greetings to you in Christ’s name. Today, I want to revisit a powerful teaching from Jesus that we studied on Sunday—the call to love our enemies. In Matthew 5:43-48, Jesus commands us not only to love our neighbors but also to pray for those who persecute us. This is a radical love that reflects the heart of God Himself.

It is easy to love those who love us in return, but Jesus calls us to something higher. True Christian love is unconditional—it is given freely, without expectation of reciprocation. Loving our enemies does not mean we condone their actions, but it does mean we choose to extend grace and forgiveness, just as Christ has extended His grace to us.

As you go through your day, I encourage you to reflect on your relationships—are there any individuals you struggle to love? Let the love of Christ break through your heart and fill it with the ability to forgive, to bless, and to love, even those who may hurt you. In doing so, you will be a reflection of Christ's love in a broken world.

In His love,
Brother Jesse
