From the Heart of Brother Jesse: Friday, November 1, 2024 - "Gratitude That Inspires Action"

Dear Beloved in Christ,

This week, we have been reflecting on the first kernel of corn and the theme of gratitude. I want to leave you with one final thought as we close out the week: gratitude is not passive—it is active. A thankful heart will always lead to action.

When we truly recognize all that God has done for us, we are moved to bless others. Just as the Pilgrims shared what little they had, we too are called to give back, especially in times of need. Whether it’s donating food, offering a word of encouragement, or lending a hand, let your gratitude for God’s blessings flow into your actions. As it says in James 2:17, “Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”

Take time today to reach out to someone in need. Whether it’s a neighbor, a friend, or someone at your local food pantry, let your thankfulness for God’s provision stir you to be His hands and feet in the world.

In Christ’s Service,
Brother Jesse
