Dear Friends,
The lesson of the third kernel of corn also reminds us that, as God’s people, we are called not only to receive but to give. When we recognize God’s provision in our lives, we are moved to share it with others, especially with those who are facing difficult seasons.
The Pilgrims faced harsh times, yet they shared what little they had with each other. This spirit of generosity is one that we, too, are invited to embody. When we give out of what God has provided, we declare that our trust is in Him, not in our own resources.
Let’s ask ourselves how we might give today. Perhaps it is a prayer for someone in need, a listening ear, or a small gift to brighten someone’s day. Whatever form it takes, may our giving reflect God’s love and remind us that His blessings are meant to be shared.
