One of the hardest lessons in life is learning to surrender control. We are accustomed to planning, striving, and working hard to achieve what we desire, but Proverbs 19:21 reminds us that the ultimate outcome rests in God’s hands. Our role is to trust and submit.
Surrendering control doesn’t mean we stop making plans or working toward our goals, but it does mean that we release the anxiety of trying to control every aspect of our lives. It’s about recognizing that God, in His infinite wisdom, knows what’s best for us, even when His plans differ from ours.
In those moments of uncertainty, when our plans seem to unravel, let us lean on the Lord. When we surrender control, we open ourselves up to God’s greater purpose. We allow Him to work through us in ways we could never orchestrate ourselves.
Let this be a week where we practice surrender—one moment at a time—trusting that God’s plans are far more beautiful than we can imagine.
