As we reflected on Proverbs 19:21 in yesterday’s message, we were reminded that, although we make many plans, it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. How often have we found ourselves frustrated when our plans don’t come to pass as we envisioned? Yet, this verse encourages us to trust in God’s greater plan, one that we cannot always see, but is always working for our good.
The plans we make are often rooted in our desires, but God’s purpose is rooted in His divine wisdom. His plans are not subject to our limitations or foresight. They extend far beyond what we can understand, yet they are always for our ultimate benefit. Trusting in His plan means letting go of the need to control outcomes and instead resting in the knowledge that He holds the blueprint for our lives.
Let this week be a time of surrender, where we lay our ambitions at the feet of Jesus and trust Him to guide our paths. May you find peace and assurance in knowing that God’s plans will always prevail, even when yours seem to fall apart.
