As we journey together through the story of Jonah, one of the most poignant moments is when Jonah, in the belly of the great fish, finally surrenders to God’s will. It is a moment of profound humility and faith, where Jonah acknowledges that his life is in God’s hands.
In my own life, there came a time when I could no longer resist God’s call. It wasn’t in the belly of a fish, but it was in the quiet surrender of my heart that I finally said, “Yes, Lord, I will follow.” It was a moment of release, where I let go of my fears, my doubts, and my excuses, and simply trusted in God’s plan for me.
Surrendering to God’s will is not always easy. It requires us to set aside our own desires, our own plans, and to trust that God knows what is best for us. But in that surrender, we find true freedom and peace.
Today, I encourage you to reflect on your own journey. Are there areas of your life where you need to surrender to God? I pray that you will find the courage to say, “Yes, Lord,” and trust in His perfect plan for your life.
In faith and trust,
