As we come to the end of this week, I want to share with you a reflection on finding joy in God’s purpose. Jonah’s story is not just one of struggle and surrender, but also of the incredible joy that comes from fulfilling the mission God has given us.
When Jonah finally obeyed God and preached to the people of Nineveh, he witnessed a miraculous transformation. An entire city turned from their ways and sought God’s mercy. There is no greater joy than knowing that you have played a part in God’s plan.
In my own life, I have experienced this joy firsthand. After years of resistance, when I finally embraced God’s call to ministry, I found a sense of fulfillment and happiness that I had never known before. Serving God’s people, whether in a small community like Lakeline Oaks or through our online ministry, has brought me immeasurable joy.
I encourage you to seek out God’s purpose for your life and to pursue it with all your heart. In doing so, you will find a joy that transcends any earthly pleasure—a joy that comes from knowing you are walking in the path God has set before you.
May you be filled with His joy today and always.
