Sunday Praise & Worship Message - Childlike Faith

In Matthew 18, the disciples ask Jesus, “Who is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?” Jesus calls out to a child to come to him. He tells the disciples, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.”

A child has a very simple outlook on life. Until they are corrupted by the world, their hearts and minds remain pure as the driven snow. As they grow up, they quickly learn the ways of a sinful world. They learn that lying and cheating can get you further in life. Stealing is certainly easier than working and saving for what you want. Taking is better than giving. Hating is far easier than loving.

It is because of the lessons of a sinful world that we need God’s grace to come into the kingdom and to return to that state of being righteous and pure as the driven snow.
