Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Life often brings us into the fire of hardship, and in those moments, we may wonder why we must endure such trials. It is easy to question, to feel discouraged, and to long for relief. But Scripture reminds us that faith must be tested, just as gold is refined in the fire. In James 1:2-4, we are urged to “consider it an opportunity for great joy” when troubles come because they produce endurance and maturity in Christ.
Recently, I have been deeply moved by the unwavering faith of a young sister in Christ who is facing an aggressive form of cancer. In her twenties, a wife and mother of two, she carries a burden that would break many. Yet, she remains steadfast, trusting that God is working even through her suffering. Her story is not one of defeat, but of faith strengthened in the fire.
Today, I encourage you to see your trials through a different lens. Rather than asking "Why me?" ask, "Lord, how will You use this for Your glory?" Trust that, in the fire, He is refining you.
May you walk boldly in faith, knowing that through every challenge, God is shaping you for His divine purpose.
