🌾 Announcement for Sunday, November 2, 2025 - The Story of the Five Kernels of Corn – A Season of Gratitude and Reflection

As we enter the month of November—a season of thanksgiving and reflection—we are reminded of a simple yet profound story that traces its roots back to the earliest days of our nation. The Five Kernels of Corn story serves as a timeless symbol of gratitude and divine provision.

When the Pilgrims first came to the New World, they faced a brutal winter of hunger, sickness, and loss. Food became so scarce that, at one point, their daily ration was said to be no more than five kernels of corn per person. Yet, through prayer, perseverance, and unwavering faith in God’s goodness, they survived. When harvest time came again, their hearts overflowed with gratitude—not for abundance alone, but for the faithful hand of God that had sustained them through their trials.

To commemorate God’s provision, the Pilgrims placed five kernels of corn upon each plate at their Thanksgiving feast. Each kernel represented a precious truth: God’s love, His provision, the blessings of friends and family, the freedom they cherished, and the faith that sustained them.

Throughout this month, we will revisit this beautiful tradition through a five-part message series—each Sunday focusing on one of the kernels. Together, we will uncover how these simple kernels still speak to our hearts today, reminding us to give thanks not merely for what we have, but for who God is and what He continues to do in our lives.

Please join us this Sunday, November 2nd, for the first message in the series as we begin this journey of gratitude and rediscover the blessings that flow from a thankful heart.

So, I say to you, “May the Lord strengthen your faith and use it for His glory, as you walk humbly in His presence.”

❤️ From the Heart of Brother Jesse – Friday, October 31, 2025 – The Blessing Found in Waiting

Dear Beloved in Christ,

As this week draws to a close, I invite you to reflect on the hidden blessings found in waiting. When we look back, we often realize that the seasons of delay were not wasted but were filled with divine purpose. The waiting shaped our character, humbled our hearts, and strengthened our faith.

Every moment of waiting has meaning in the Lord’s plan. Like the farmer who sows in faith and waits for the harvest, we too must trust that what God has planted in our lives will one day bear fruit. Galatians 6:9 reminds us, “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”

The blessing is not only in the outcome—it is also in the becoming. We emerge from waiting more patient, more compassionate, and more aware of God’s sustaining grace.

So, dear friends, let us wait with courage, walk with faith, and trust with unwavering hearts. The Lord who began a good work in you will bring it to completion.

So, I say to you, “May the Lord strengthen your faith and use it for His glory, as you walk humbly in His presence.”

📬 From Brother Jesse – Thursday, October 30, 2025 – God’s Timing, God’s Provision

Dear Beloved Supporters,

Throughout Scripture, we are reminded that the Lord provides according to His perfect will and timing. Abraham waited for a son, Joseph waited in prison, and David waited to be crowned king — yet through it all, God’s promises never failed.

In every season, God’s timing proves flawless, and His provision complete. Our ministry, too, continues to rely entirely upon that divine faithfulness. Each post, each prayer, and each message is made possible by God’s grace working through you — our faithful readers and supporters.

If this week’s message, “Waiting with Courage: A Call to Patient Endurance,” has touched your heart, I humbly ask that you prayerfully consider making a donation to support this ministry’s ongoing mission. Every gift helps us share the Gospel with others who need encouragement in their own seasons of waiting and faith.

Remember, when we give in faith, we participate in God’s unfolding plan — and He multiplies every act of generosity for His glory.

So, I say to you, “May the Lord strengthen your faith and use it for His glory, as you walk humbly in His presence.”

❤️ From the Heart of Brother Jesse – Thursday, October 30, 2025 – Strength in Stillness

Dear Faithful Friends,

In a world that glorifies busyness, stillness feels foreign. Yet, it is in stillness that the Lord often reveals His greatest truths. Psalm 46:10 tells us, “Be still, and know that I am God.” Waiting on the Lord requires that we quiet our restless hearts and listen to the gentle rhythm of His grace.

Stillness is not inactivity—it is intentional trust. When we rest in God’s presence, our strength is renewed. We learn that our worth is not defined by our productivity, but by our identity as children of the Almighty.

Sometimes, the Lord calms the storm. Other times, He calms His child in the midst of it. The strength that sustains us does not come from our own might but from His indwelling Spirit.

My beloved friends, if your spirit feels weary today, find a moment to be still before Him. In that sacred quiet, you will rediscover the peace that surpasses all understanding.

So, I say to you, “May the Lord strengthen your faith and use it for His glory, as you walk humbly in His presence.”

❤️ From the Heart of Brother Jesse – Wednesday, October 29, 2025 – When God Seems Silent

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Perhaps the hardest part of waiting is when God seems silent. The prayers go up, but the answers appear to linger. In those moments, we may wonder if the Lord has turned His face away. Yet, Scripture assures us that His silence is not His absence.

There are times when the Lord’s stillness is part of His plan—to teach us to listen more closely, to rest more deeply, and to trust more fully. Like a wise teacher, He allows us to grow through moments when faith must stand without immediate reassurance.

During such silence, turn your heart toward His promises. Remember how He has led you before. His past faithfulness guarantees His future provision. As Isaiah 30:15 reminds us, “In quietness and confidence is your strength.”

So if you are walking through a quiet season, hold fast to hope. The Lord is still at work, orchestrating every detail of your life. In His perfect time, His voice will once again resound in your heart with love and purpose.

So, I say to you, “May the Lord strengthen your faith and use it for His glory, as you walk humbly in His presence.”

❤️ From the Heart of Brother Jesse – Tuesday, October 28, 2025 – Finding Courage in the Waiting

Dear Friends in Christ,

Courage is not found in moments of ease but in the quiet persistence of faith when life offers no clear answers. When the psalmist writes, “Be brave and courageous,” he is calling us to face uncertainty not with fear but with confidence in the Lord’s faithfulness.

When we wait on God, we are often asked to trust what we cannot see. That is where courage is born. It takes courage to believe when the outcome is uncertain. It takes courage to keep walking when the path is dimly lit. Yet, we walk by faith, not by sight, knowing the Lord’s hand steadies our steps.

When your spirit grows weary, remember this: courage is not the absence of fear but the decision to keep trusting God despite it. The same Lord who commanded Joshua to be strong and courageous walks beside you even now.

So take heart, my dear friends. The Lord is near. Let your courage rise from His presence, and let your faith be the anchor that holds you steady in every storm.

So, I say to you, “May the Lord strengthen your faith and use it for His glory, as you walk humbly in His presence.”

❤️ From the Heart of Brother Jesse – Monday, October 27, 2025 – Learning to Wait Gracefully

Dear Beloved in Christ,

There are seasons in each of our lives when waiting seems unbearable. We pray fervently, we hope deeply, and yet heaven appears silent. During such times, impatience can creep in, tempting us to take matters into our own hands. But the Lord’s Word gently reminds us, “Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” (Psalm 27:14 NLT)

Waiting is not a punishment—it is preparation. The Lord uses waiting to refine our hearts, strengthen our faith, and draw us closer to Him. When we rush ahead, we often miss the blessings that come from divine timing. True faith is not proven in the receiving but in the waiting with trust. Each delay we experience is God’s invitation to deepen our reliance upon His perfect wisdom and love.

In my own life, I have learned that when I stop striving and start surrendering, peace begins to settle over my spirit. I no longer see waiting as wasted time but as sacred space—a time to grow, reflect, and listen more intently for the whisper of God’s guidance.

My dear friends, if you find yourself in a season of waiting today, remember that God has not forgotten you. He is working behind the scenes, arranging everything for your good and His glory. Keep praying, keep believing, and most of all, keep trusting.

So, I say to you, “May the Lord strengthen your faith and use it for His glory, as you walk humbly in His presence.”

There have been moments of uncertainty, yet through every challenge, God has provided — often through the generous hearts of those who believe in this mission. ✟ Waiting with Courage: A Call to Patient Endurance

There is perhaps no greater test of faith than the command to wait. Waiting is one of life’s most difficult disciplines, especially in an age that prizes instant gratification. We long for answers, deliverance, and direction, yet the Lord, in His divine wisdom, often calls us to pause. Psalm 27:14 captures this tension perfectly: “Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.”

This verse acknowledges the very human struggle with waiting while offering divine guidance for facing life’s uncertainties. It reminds us that waiting requires more than mere endurance—it calls for courage, faith, and trust in God’s perfect timing. In these few powerful words, David teaches us how to hold fast to hope when answers seem delayed and when the future feels uncertain.

Waiting, in the biblical sense, is far from idle. It is an active, spiritual discipline rooted in faith. To “wait patiently for the Lord” means to trust in His sovereign plan even when we cannot see the outcome. It is to remain steadfast in prayer, constant in hope, and diligent in our devotion.

So often, we equate waiting with doing nothing, but scriptural waiting is filled with purpose. It is a posture of expectation—believing that God is working behind the scenes, even when the evidence is unseen. His timing is never delayed but divinely designed.

When we become impatient, we risk stepping ahead of God’s plan and missing the beauty of what He is preparing. Patience allows God’s purposes to unfold naturally. We can cultivate this patience through prayer, meditation on His Word, and reflection on the countless times He has already proven faithful in our lives. Waiting on the Lord is an exercise in trust—trust that He knows what is best and will act at the right time.

The command to “be brave and courageous” recognizes that waiting can stir fear and anxiety. We worry about what might happen, or worse, what might not happen. Yet the Lord does not ask us to muster up courage from within ourselves. He calls us to draw upon His strength.

When Joshua was told to lead Israel into the Promised Land, God’s command was clear: “Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9 NLT). That same assurance applies to us today. Our courage does not come from self-confidence but from confidence in God’s presence and promises.

Being brave in the waiting means choosing faith over fear. It means continuing to serve others, to speak truth, to remain hopeful, and to resist despair, even when we do not see immediate results. Courage is not the absence of fear—it is obedience in spite of it, grounded in the certainty that God is faithful.

In Scripture, repetition is never accidental. When David repeats the phrase “Yes, wait patiently for the Lord,” it is as though he is speaking directly to our wavering hearts. The repetition reinforces the command, urging us to lean in more deeply and to anchor our hope even more securely in the Lord’s faithfulness.

Every repetition strengthens resolve. Each time we choose to wait, we learn to trust more fully. Waiting becomes not a burden but a blessing—a process that refines us, deepens our faith, and draws us closer to the heart of God.

This repeated exhortation calls us to enduring hope, reminding us that patience is not resignation but resilience. It is the courageous endurance that believes, even in silence, that God’s promises are sure and His love unfailing.

Each of us is waiting for something. Some wait for healing, others for guidance, reconciliation, provision, or the next step in life’s journey. Whatever the season, the Lord calls us to wait with courage and faith.

Here are practical steps to strengthen our hearts while we wait:
  • Surrender your anxieties to God. Lay every fear at His feet and trust His timing.
  • Seek God’s presence daily. Prayer and Scripture anchor the soul during uncertainty.
  • Connect with a supportive community. Fellowship reminds us that we are not alone in our struggles.
  • Practice gratitude. Thankfulness shifts our focus from what we lack to what God has already provided.
Remember, waiting on the Lord is never wasted time. It is sacred preparation. The waiting refines our character, strengthens our faith, and aligns our hearts with God’s will. In His perfect time, He brings forth beauty from delay and purpose from pain.

Psalm 27:14 offers timeless wisdom for weary souls: “Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” These words invite us into a deeper life of faith—a life that rests not in circumstances but in the steadfast love of God.

As we wait, let us do so with courage and endurance, trusting that God is working in ways we cannot yet see. For in waiting, our faith matures; in courage, our hearts grow strong; and in patience, we find peace.

So, I say to you, “Let us wait patiently for the Lord, and in doing so, find our strength and courage renewed.”

And as we do, may we also remember to act in faith—reaching out to those in need and demonstrating God’s love through generous hearts. ❤️ From the Heart of Brother Jesse – Friday, October 24, 2025 – Faith for the Unseen Tomorrow

Dear Friends in Christ,

As this week draws to a close, I find comfort in remembering that even though we do not know what tomorrow holds, we know Who holds tomorrow. That truth alone gives strength to face the unknown.

When I look back on my life, I see how many times the Lord provided when I could not see a way forward. There were days of fear and uncertainty, yet each one became a testimony to His faithfulness. Proverbs 27:1 reminds us that we cannot boast about tomorrow — but we can trust God to meet us there.

Whatever tomorrow brings, let us walk by faith and not by sight. Trust that the Lord will guide you, provide for you, and protect you in every season. The future may be unseen, but His love is unshakable.

Walk faithfully into tomorrow with your hand in His.

❤️ From the Heart of Brother Jesse – Thursday, October 23, 2025 – Planning with Prayer

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Planning is wise, but prayer makes planning holy. We are called to be good stewards of our time and resources, but we must also remember that even our best-laid plans should rest in God’s hands.

I often remind myself of Proverbs 16:9: “We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.” When I approach my plans prayerfully, asking for God’s guidance, I find that the results — even if unexpected — always lead to His glory.

Before making decisions today, whether big or small, pause to invite the Lord into your planning. Ask Him to bless your intentions and to correct your direction when needed. His plans are never late, never lacking, and never wrong.

When we plan with prayer, we walk in step with His divine purpose.

❤️ From the Heart of Brother Jesse – Wednesday, October 22, 2025 – Letting Go of Control

Dear Friends,

One of the hardest lessons I’ve had to learn is releasing the illusion of control. I used to plan every step, schedule every hour, and try to foresee every outcome. But life has a way of humbling us, doesn’t it? No matter how careful our plans, the unexpected often interrupts.

When I finally surrendered my plans to God, I found something I never expected — peace. The kind of peace that Philippians 4:7 describes as “beyond understanding.” True peace doesn’t come from perfect planning; it comes from perfect trust in a perfect God.

When we let go of the need to control everything, we make room for God’s will to unfold. The future may still be uncertain, but our hearts no longer need to be.

Release your anxieties into His capable hands today. He already knows tomorrow’s path — and He’s walking it with you.

❤️ From the Heart of Brother Jesse – Tuesday, October 21, 2025 – The Myth of Tomorrow

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Have you ever noticed how easy it is to say, “I’ll do it tomorrow”? Whether it’s reaching out to a friend, forgiving someone, or spending quiet time in prayer, we convince ourselves that tomorrow will be a better day to start. But Scripture reminds us that tomorrow is not guaranteed.

The myth of tomorrow leads many to postpone what should be done today — acts of kindness, moments of worship, and words of encouragement. God gives us today to serve, love, and glorify Him. As James wrote, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.”

Don’t wait for a “better time” to live out your faith. The best time to pray is now. The best time to forgive is now. The best time to love is now.

Cherish today, for it is the only day you truly hold.

❤️ From the Heart of Brother Jesse – Monday, October 20, 2025 – The Gift of Today

Dear Friends,

Each morning, when I open my eyes, I’m reminded that today is a sacred gift — not something I’ve earned or deserved, but something lovingly placed in my hands by God. Too often, we rush into our days with mental checklists and anxious hearts, forgetting to pause and thank the Giver for the day itself.

Proverbs 27:1 teaches, “Don’t brag about tomorrow, since you don’t know what the day will bring.” The Lord graciously gives us today, not tomorrow. When we recognize that truth, we begin to see each sunrise as an invitation to live faithfully and purposefully.

Take a quiet moment this morning to thank God for the breath in your lungs, the opportunities before you, and the people around you. Each moment, however small, carries eternal significance when offered back to Him in gratitude and love.

Live today as though it were a holy gift — because it is.

✟ Living in the Present and Trusting God for the Future

Scripture Reading
“Don’t brag about tomorrow, since you don’t know what the day will bring.” Proverbs 27:1 (NLT)

Each of us has, at one time or another, spoken confidently about what we will do “tomorrow.” We plan our schedules, set our goals, and imagine how things will unfold — yet how often do we pause to consider that tomorrow is not promised? We speak as if the future were something we owned, something we could command into existence. But Scripture gently reminds us otherwise.

Jesus illustrated this truth in the parable of the rich fool (Luke 12:16–21). The man’s fields produced a bountiful harvest, and he decided to build larger barns to store his crops. He said to himself, “You have stored up enough for years to come. Eat, drink, and be merry!” But God said to him, “You fool! This very night your soul will be required of you.” The man had prepared for every possible future — except the one that truly mattered.

Proverbs 27:1 serves as a wise and humbling reminder: “Don’t brag about tomorrow, since you don’t know what the day will bring.” It calls us to a life of humility, dependence, and faith — to live in the present moment, trusting the God who holds tomorrow in His hands.

To brag about tomorrow is to presume upon life — to speak as though we are the authors of time itself. This is not merely pride in our plans; it is arrogance toward the sovereignty of God. When we boast about the future, we place confidence in our own strength and wisdom rather than in the Lord’s divine providence.

James echoes this warning in his letter:
“Look here, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a profit.’ How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? ... What you ought to say is, ‘If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.’” — James 4:13–15 (NLT)
Such wisdom reminds us that our every heartbeat is a gift, and our tomorrows are shaped not by our calendars but by God’s will.

Life is unpredictable — and that unpredictability is both humbling and freeing. We cannot foresee the twists and turns of a single day, much less the unfolding of a lifetime. Illness may strike, opportunities may vanish, and circumstances can change in the blink of an eye. Yet, this is not a call to despair; it is a call to trust.

Our limitations invite us to rest in the limitless knowledge of God. He alone sees the end from the beginning. What may seem uncertain to us is already written in His perfect plan.

From this simple yet profound verse, we draw several essential lessons for daily living.

Each day we awaken is a sacred gift. Every plan we make should begin with the humble acknowledgment that it is God who directs our steps. Pride whispers that we are in control, but wisdom bows before the throne of the Almighty and says, “Not my will, but Yours be done.”

So many lose today while fretting over tomorrow. We become anxious about what may happen instead of being thankful for what is happening. Christ’s words in Matthew 6:34 still speak clearly:
“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”
Live fully in the present. Speak kindly, serve generously, love sincerely, and forgive freely — for these are the moments that glorify God.

Trusting God for tomorrow doesn’t mean living carelessly; it means living faithfully. When we release our anxiety about the future and entrust it to God, we find peace. As the hymn reminds us, “Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.” Our confidence is not in what we can plan, but in who He is — the same yesterday, today, and forever.

This proverb doesn’t condemn planning; it condemns presumption. God calls us to plan prudently but hold those plans loosely. Joseph in Egypt planned wisely under divine guidance — storing grain not in arrogance but in obedience. We, too, can plan diligently while saying with humble hearts, “If the Lord wills.”

Proverbs 27:1 invites us to live humbly and gratefully in the now. Tomorrow is uncertain, but God’s faithfulness is not. The future is a mystery, but His promises are sure.

So, let us embrace today with thankful hearts. Let us surrender tomorrow to the One who knows it completely. Every sunrise is a new opportunity to live by faith and to walk in step with the Spirit.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.” — Proverbs 3:5–6 (NLT)

As you reflect on this message, I encourage you to take time each morning this week to thank God for the day before you. Commit your plans, hopes, and dreams to Him, and remember that each moment is a gift meant to be lived for His glory.
