As a nation founded on the principles of freedom, we, on this day, celebrate the freedoms given to us by God. God has blessed this nation. As long as we continue to worship and obey Him, He will continue to bless and strengthen this nation.
Let us remember the words spoken by God to His servant, Abraham, in the twelfth chapter of the Book of Genesis.
The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.”
Our faith in God and continued support of God's chosen should guide our steps. The blessings from His bountiful hand have showered this great nation. With those blessings come great responsibilities. We are to help the helpless and defend the defenseless. The power that this nation has been given comes from the hand of our Heavenly Father.
