Sunday Praise & Worship Message - Rejected by Others

We have all experienced what it means to be rejected. When we seek a job, we face the possibility of a prospective employer saying, “I’m sorry. You aren’t the one we are looking for.” Rejection goes even further back in our lives. When we ask someone to go out on a date, that person could say, “I’m sorry. I am already going with someone.” Going back even further in our lives, we remember times when we weren’t picked for a team or we were the last to be picked, because we couldn’t throw or run better than others. In all cases, we were passed over and we felt horrible, because we were not quite that proper fit or lacked something that would have made us desireable to someone else. However, there is someone who accepts everyone, loves you without question and provides you with help in improving yourself. That person is Jesus. He loves you and wants you to join his team and be your friend. As the words of the old hymn go, “what a friend we have in Jesus.”
