Prayers for the Persecuted - Andrew Brunson

American Pastor Andrew Brunson, a United States citizen from North Carolina, has been unjustly held in Turkey on false terrorism charges. Languishing in a prison cell built for eight, which at times holds as many as 22 prisoners, of which Pastor Andrew is always the only Christian, he and his wife stand firmly in His grace.

Turkey, our NATO ally, has begun increased crackdowns on Christians. If convicted, Pastor Andrew could face years in prison based on extremely serious and false charges.

Pastor Andrew sent a message to President Trump asking for help. In response, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson recently met for 20 minutes with Pastor Andrew's wife in Turkey.

Please continue to pray for Pastor Andrew, his family and for his release. As we remember him, let us also remember all of those who are being persecuted for their faith.

1 Peter 4:12-14 New Living Translation (NLT)

12 Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. 13 Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world.

14 If you are insulted because you bear the name of Christ, you will be blessed, for the glorious Spirit of God rests upon you.
