The Urgency of Sharing God's Grace
Imagine Samuel, an ordinary villager with a heart awakened to a divine calling, much like the disciples on a mountaintop where Jesus commissioned them. "Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations," Jesus had said. Samuel realized that he too was called to be a disciple-maker, not limited by his humble origins but empowered by the extraordinary message he carried.
Picture the immense longing in Samuel's heart, reflecting God's desire that "all men be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth" (1 Timothy 2:3-4 NLT). Samuel's newfound purpose led him to those on the fringes of society—those the world had forgotten. He saw each person as a lost sheep, much like the one in the Parable of the Lost Sheep from Luke 15. Just as the shepherd rejoiced over that single lost sheep, Samuel felt God's joy when even one lost soul found salvation through his efforts.
As Samuel moved through the village, he encountered people from various backgrounds and walks of life. He remembered the lesson from Acts 10:34-35 NLT, realizing that God's grace knows no boundaries. His love reached into every corner of their lives. Samuel became an ambassador of this boundless grace, uniting hearts and transforming lives in the process.
In 1 Peter 3:15 NLT, Samuel discovered the importance of being ever ready to explain his hope as a believer. His actions and words became a living testimony of Christ's impact on his life. He knew that his life's purpose was to shine as a beacon of hope in a world yearning for meaning and purpose.
Envision the village transformed by Samuel's unwavering commitment to sharing God's grace. As he embraced his divine calling, the village began to see the light of Christ shine through him. Samuel's selfless love and willingness to share the Gospel touched hearts, drawing people closer to the source of all hope.
Now, in closing, let us remember the call of Acts 20:24 NLT. "But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus." Our lives gain their truest meaning when we align them with God's purpose—to share the Good News and His wonderful grace with all. And as we do, let us not only share but also stand firm in His grace, for it is the anchor of our faith, the foundation of our salvation, and the source of our eternal hope.
May the Lord empower us and fill us with His love and compassion as we embrace this calling and stand firm in His grace.
